Hi, I’m Adrienne, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience. I specialize in supporting foster and adoptive families, military and veteran populations, survivors of trauma, individuals who have engaged in violent relationships, and those navigating major life transitions. I help clients who feel overwhelmed, emotionally dysregulated, or trapped in survival mode find clarity, emotional safety, and meaningful change. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and rooted in compassion.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we’ll slow down and focus on what’s bringing you in, what you’ve been carrying, and what support looks like for you. You don’t need to have everything figured out—I’ll help you feel grounded and heard. We’ll clarify goals together, set the pace for our work, and begin creating a space that feels emotionally safe and centered on you.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I create a safe, nonjudgmental space for clients who often feel misunderstood, overwhelmed, or emotionally stuck. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling like they’re falling apart, carrying trauma, grief, or emotional chaos with no clear path forward. My strength lies in helping people slow down, feel seen, and begin to heal from the inside out—no performance, no perfection, just honest support.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work best with adults who’ve spent years showing up for others while neglecting themselves. Many of my clients are navigating trauma, identity transitions, burnout, or emotional disconnection. I’m especially attuned to the needs of Black and Brown women, cycle-breakers, military-connected individuals, and those doing the deep work of reclaiming their voice and peace.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

I use a selectively eclectic approach to meet each client where they are—pulling from a range of evidence-based modalities to address your unique needs. This allows me to combine trauma-informed, relational, and cognitive strategies that reflect your lived experience, cultural context, and healing goals. No session is one-size-fits-all; it’s always built around what works best for you.

Brainspotting

Brainspotting is a powerful brain-body therapy I use to help clients access and process trauma stored in the nervous system. I use this modality with clients who may feel stuck in talk therapy or struggle with emotional overwhelm. It’s especially effective for deep trauma work, anxiety, and somatic symptoms, and I offer it as part of a supportive, regulated healing experience.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I incorporate CBT to help clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, manage anxiety, and develop practical coping tools. This method is particularly effective for clients dealing with self-doubt, overthinking, and emotional dysregulation. I blend CBT with other trauma-informed and attachment-based methods to ensure we address both mindset and emotional safety.

EMDR

When clinically appropriate and billable, I use EMDR to help clients desensitize and reprocess trauma memories that continue to impact daily functioning. EMDR allows clients to target the root of distress—whether from childhood wounds, relational trauma, or high-impact life events—without having to relive it in detail. It’s especially helpful for clients stuck in fear, shame, or self-blame cycles.

Psychoeducation

I use psychoeducation as a key part of my practice to help clients understand the why behind their symptoms. We explore the nervous system, trauma responses, attachment dynamics, and cognitive distortions so you can make empowered, informed choices about your healing. Knowledge is power—and I want you to leave every session not just feeling, but understanding your growth.
